Andres Asion, a lifelong resident of Miami Beach, is running to be our next City Commissioner because our community deserves an independent voice who will always put residents first.
An entrepreneur and small-business owner, Andres will use his private sector experience and results-oriented approach to deliver results for Miami Beach residents. Andres understands that we need elected leaders who just don’t say the right things but, more importantly, do the right thing.
As a member of the City’s Board of Adjustment, a past member of the Convention Center Advisory Board, and twice a graduate of the Miami Beach Citizen’s Police Academy, Andres has passionately served Miami Beach residents for the past 20 years.
Andres is President of the Andres Asion Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that assists less fortunate children and families by partnering with organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Amigos for Kids, and the Overtown Youth Center. Additionally, Andres serves on the Advisory Board of The Global Empowerment Mission and is a Board Member of the Overtown Youth Center. Ronald McDonald Charities also named him as one of Twelve Good Men, which honors South Florida’s leading men for their unwavering dedication to the community, civic service, and support of local charities.
As our next City Commissioner, Andres is determined to tackle the issues facing Miami Beach residents.
Andres’ top priority is keeping our city safe. Andres believes in holding bad actors accountable, eliminating the “anything goes” party attitude, and ensuring the Miami Beach Police Department has the resources necessary to keep our community safe.
Miami Beach residents can count on Andres to put residents first by finding real solutions to alleviate traffic congestion, protecting our quality of life, and continuing our resiliency projects responsibly.
